I was asleep, but one of my neighbors let off a series of very loud
fireworks. Sadly, there is nothing to be done as it was before 11:00PM
and it's legal to set off fireworks before 11:00 on the 5th.
It's quiet now at 11:18PM.

Here, it is illegal to even buy fireworkies at any time of the year !

They can't be purchased here at certain times of the year. Around
July 4th and New Years. I don't know exactly when the start and stop
dates are, but I know they're legal to set off from July 3rd to July
5th between 8:00am and 11:00pm. They're legal to set off from 8:00am
on Dec 31 until 2:00am on the first. Then again at 8:00am on the first
until 11:00pm.
I never really understood the six hours of not permitting
fireworks on the first. I'm sure there's a reason for it. And I'm sure
that if I were to look for it, I could find it. But I like a little
mystery in my life.
